The mission of Northwest Children's Fund is to end the cycle of child abuse and neglect by supporting programs for at-risk children and their families. Fundamentally, this requires intervention when abuse has already occurred, to prevent recurrence and to help the victims recover and lead healthy, safe lives.

Significantly, however, we also promote programs that help stop abuse and neglect before it starts. This includes giving children the assets and support systems they need to be safe in a nurturing environment, and working with families to alleviate the stresses and deficiencies that can lead to abuse and neglect.
