Interested in applying for a grant from NWCF? Here’s an overview of our grant review process.

• Grants are made twice yearly.



• After an initial screening process, the grant applications are reviewed by the Grants Committee and the NWCF Board.



• All grant applications are thoroughly evaluated by NWCF Board Members. This will include a review of the grant application and supporting materials, and usually a site visit. Occasionally NWCF donors, representatives of other foundations, and other interested parties participate in site visits.



• After all the evaluations have been completed, the Grants Committee meets to select the grantees and determine the grant amounts. This is a very conscientious and often difficult process, as we try to match the money available with an ever-increasing demand by a number of very worthy grant applicants.



• Once the selections have been made, they are presented to the full board for discussion and ratification.
