Words from recent NSCF grant recipients:

"Our friends at Northwest Children’s Fund are like family here at PICC. They have been such a part of our work over the past thirteen years. NWCF supports PICC’s mission of providing a safe and healthy start for the highly vulnerable and underserved population of drug-affected newborns."

Barbara Drennen, Executive Director/Founder, Pediatric Interim Care Center

"Thanks to the Northwest Children's Fund, Ryther has been able to build and grow a Therapeutic Foster Care Program that has helped very troubled abused children live successfully in home-like situations instead of institutions. Where once the prospects for these children were grim they are now bright and filled with promise."

Lee Grogg, Executive Director, Ryther Child Center

"In 2004 we bought a home near our children's schools, and we are currently less than $10,000 from paying it off.  The support and encouragement of Northwest Children's Fund in 2005 allowed our program to remain stable while we ran our capital fundraiser. As one foster child, whose sense of 'home' has been so compromised, said, "This is like a really good hotel!"

Dott Kelly, Executive Director, Jumping Mouse Children's Center

"Thanks to you our Breaking the Cycle groups have made a tremendous difference to the kids we serve in both our shelter and community support group programs. It is wonderful to see growth in the children’s trust level, abilities to understand all forms a abuse and to develop a safety plan."

Linda Olsen, Executive Director, Eastside Domestic Violence Program

“Since 1995 the leadership support Northwest Children’s Fund has provided for the Tutoring Program has meant that we have been able to establish and grow an increasingly successful program. The impact of your contribution will be obvious in the smiling faces of the children who learn to read with the help of a tutor. On behalf of these youngsters, thank you."
